- Bash is a core command line component of unix based systems. It's what you see/use when you open Terminal on your Mac to ping, whois, etc.
- A vulnerability was recently discovered that could allow relatively easy exploitation of bash in a way that would give an attacker control of vulnerable systems.
- Cascade servers were successfully tested, patched and tested again by yesterday afternoon.
