A sprint from concept to launch
Oregon must add tens of thousands of home-care workers this decade, and a year-long paid-media campaign kicked off on March 31 2025. With only three weeks’ lead time, Cascade designed, built, and launched a fully accessible WordPress microsite in English and Spanish. The site pairs fast-loading pages with clear, two-step pathways: learn about the job, then follow a hand-off to official state application forms hosted elsewhere.
Early performance sets a benchmark
During July, the first month with stable advertising spend, Google Analytics recorded 3,546 visitors who progressed from the Inquiry stage to Interested actions—starting the “Find Your Role” quiz, opening the “How to Apply” guide, or tapping the primary Apply button. That figure represents 8.5 percent of total site users and provides a concrete baseline for optimization. The same data confirmed that 86 percent of sessions are on mobile devices, a critical insight that now governs every design decision.
Continuous improvement, driven by numbers
Working from those July metrics, Cascade drafted a mobile-first optimization roadmap. Instead of disruptive pop-ups, the plan layers subtle cues—a sticky bottom bar that follows a reader’s scroll, a mid-page quiz teaser, a progress bar that shows how far a visitor has made it through the “How It Works” steps. Each change is A/B-tested; if a tweak nudges even one additional percent of users to the Interested stage, campaign managers see it in real time and adjust media budgets accordingly.
Accessibility and longevity baked in
Every template meets WCAG 2.1 AA for contrast, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader landmarks. Text strings live in translation files, allowing Russian, Vietnamese, Somali, and other languages to slot in as soon as content is ready. Cascade is providing hosting and maintenance through March 2026, after which a documented hand-off will let state IT staff run the site without outside help.
