Summary

Northwest Wines to You (NWWtY) helps bring together wine buyers and wineries of various sizes by coordinating the purchasing, order management, and fulfillment of handcrafted wines from numerous partner wineries. Using their web presence, NWWtY allows wineries, potentially unable to manage ecommerce, to sell direct to consumers and reach a larger audience than what walks through the tasting room door.

The NWWtY website has just about everything you could ask for within a site, including: 3rd party purchasing and order fulfillment integration, full product and content management, brandlive, and even site management for NWWtY partner wineries. Sasquatch Agency helped our development work shine, once again, with an amazing design that perfectly articulates the art of wine making. Both NWWtY and partner winery admins use the evergreen CMS to manage site design, content, products, email subscribers, etc. Here are just a few of the features and functions we've integrated into NWWtY's new online presence:

Nexternal eCommerce Software Integration

All products, varietals, wineries, and wine clubs' information are created and managed within evergreen modules. This allows for the respective content, images, etc. to display properly on the website, yet, more importantly, improves the efficiency of NWWtY's order and fulfillment processes. We achieved this by syncing several evergreen modules with Nexternal's eCommerce tools. In Nexternal, NWWtY can use the up-to-date product and winery information, fed from evergreen, to create case and package discounts, arrange shipping specifics, assign specific customer types for club member, process orders based on an updated inventory, and manage the checkout process.

Partner Winery Website Control

Given the personal nature of winery content, images, products, etc. it was imperative that NWWtY allow their partner wineries to have some control over how they're portrayed on the website. Winery site admins have the power to log in to a filtered site admin (less features that NWWtY) and manage their brand and product content and images, submit news and specials requests to NWWtY to post on the website (simply by approving), and submit orders for customers. A "Help" feature was integrated into the partner winery admin to support the varying levels of technical knowledge amongst wineries.

Northwest Wines to You Live

Communication is highly important within NWWtY's business structure with numerous winery clients scattered across the country. NWWtY and their partner wineries will both be using brandlive to interact with customers, conduct meetings, and promote the various brands to a global audience.

Products Module

All of NWWtY partner wineries' hundreds of wine and associated products are created and managed within the products module. By completing a simple form of product information, NWWtY can customize the status of the product (per a variety of custom arrangements with clients), add product content and images, set prices and discounts, assign SEO content, choose related products, etc. All of this information is then displayed throughout the site, without NWWtY having to spend hours formatting the front end display of each data input.

Design Management

The home page images and Calls-to-Action (CTAs) content and imagery as well as all product, wine club, and winery landing page content and images can all be updated via the respective modules (i.e. Home Page module, product module, wine club manager, winery module).

Winery and Varietal Modules

One of NWWtY's initial questions was: "How can are website keep up with the growth of our business?". In cooperation with the Products Module, the Winery and Varietal Modules allow site admins to create new and manage existing client and wine categories as the business evolves.

Email Subscribers

Promoting all partner winery news and vineyard happenings is no easy task. Neither is collecting subscriber information. To help ease this pain-point, we developed a module where all online email subscribers for NWWtY and those for partner wineries can be stored and managed separately. Site admins have the ability to view, edit, and export a winery specific list of email subscribers which they can then import into their newsletter distribution software.
