Given the dedication to their craft, the Colorado based company needed a website that appropriately communicated the quality of their work and allowed users to purchase products via the new site.In collaboration with Whalen Louis, who managed all website design, cascade created dolcejewels.com on the evergreen CMS platform that, not only, showcases Dolce's art and jewelry but also introduces online sales and order compliance and improves on the efficiency of their marketing processes through the following, intuitive website admin tools: SalesEcommerceOne of Dolce's driving forces behind the new website was ecommerce. Not only would online sales expand their market but also make order processing a much easier task. Cascade integrated 3rd party order compliance software to ensure as secure and seamless checkout process for the user. The following features were also added to the website's back-end allowing Dolce to efficiently manage products, sales, and customer orders. *Please note - ecommerce will not be available until Spring-Summer of 2011, at the business' request. Products, Category & Artists Modules The Product, Category and Artist Manager admin tools allow Dolce to add, manage and organize products with all changes reflected in real time on the website. This includes assigning items to the appropriate category(s) and artist(s) as well as the inclusion of several related products for point-of-purchase sales. Coupon Manager This slick feature takes the headaches out of discounting Dolce's hundreds of available products. With a few clicks of the mouse and completing a simple form, Dolce can discount specific products, set the amount (% or $) and determine the expiration date for the sale. Order Module All orders placed on the site are submitted to the order module. Here site admins can view order information, take notes on customers and orders, and track shipping information. MarketingEmailsIn the website footer, cascade included a simple email sign up form to build upon Dolce's fanbase. When submitted, subscribers' names and an email and time stamp are stored in the site admin. These subscriber lists can be exported to a csv which can then be quickly updated into their email newsletter software improving Dolce's email efficiency. Lists can also be exported per a select date range for specific promotional opportunities. Employees Why not brag about the team behind these amazing pieces of art? Aside from the employee's name, image and bio, my favorite area of this feature is where employees show off their favorite Dolce pieces. Media/News/Events To learn about the latest news on upcoming Dolce happenings and which publications currently feature their products, just visit the Calls to Action (CTAs) on the home page and the relevant internal pages. All of this information is managed in a single evergreen tool by only 4 field inputs. Art on Location Dolce pieces are charted by collectors across the world. For those interested in showing off their collection, cascade created an area where site admins can upload multiple Art on Location images and include a relevant description to highlight the unique owners of their products. Homepage Manager Every time you visit the Dolce website you'll have an opportunity to see a different home page. With the ability to upload up to 5 images, which are randomly populated, and edit the Exclusive, What's New, and Events content and links, Dolce can use this feature to promote new products, company news and always give customers a reason to come back. |
